“It is so important to observe that the patient feels that they are being listened to, and that they really understand how I will go about treating them. My approach is therefore quite open and calm, and I try to be very clear with my explanations”.
“In 1995, I graduated as a physiotherapist from the University of Amsterdam. Subsequently, I worked for seven years in the Slotervaart Hospital on the Orthopaedics and Rheumatology wards, followed by the Intensive Care Unit; I was also a part of the Hand Rehabilitation Team while I was working there.
After this job experience, I went to work in a small hospital in Tanzania as a physiotherapist. On my return to the Netherlands, I was employed for 10 years in a health centre and in 2008, completed my Manual Lymph Drainage ad modum Vodder. Since 2013, I’ve been working as an edema therapist and physiotherapist in Praktijk Brouwersgracht”.
