Treatment of edema
Edema Therapy is intended for people who experience discomfort caused by excess fluid in the affected area. Such excessive accumulation of fluid is called edema. Many patients who suffer from an edema, experience a heavy or tired feeling, for example, in their arms or legs, thick, swollen ankles or a tense feeling in the vicinity of their elbows. Edema can occur anywhere in the body and has many causes. In order to prevent a further increase in the edema, physical therapy is necessary. Our edema physiotherapists have specialised in the treatment of lymphedema and venous edema.

Treatment method

Edema Therapy consists of several treatment methods including manual lymphatic drainage (a form of massage), exercise and compression therapy, fascia therapy, lymph taping and self-care techniques.
